What’s Love Got to Do With It?

We talk about love like it’s everything — the answer to every problem, the cure for every heartache, the reason for every sacrifice. But in today’s world, you’ve got to ask yourself: what’s love really got to do with it?

Because sometimes, love isn’t enough.

Love won’t pay the bills.

Love won’t fix someone who doesn’t want to change.

Love won’t stop the hurt when the respect is gone.

Let’s be real — relationships today are tested more than ever. Between social media temptation, emotional immaturity, and the constant chase for validation, people are confusing attention for affection and lust for love.

But here’s the truth:

Love does have something to do with it — when it’s healthy.

Real love means showing up when it’s hard.

It means honesty, communication, and boundaries.

It’s not about losing yourself; it’s about growing together.

So maybe Tina Turner was on to something when she asked, “What’s love got to do with it?”

The answer is — everything and nothing, depending on what kind of love you’re talking about.

What do you think?

Is love enough to make a relationship work these days? Or does it take more than that? Drop your thoughts below — let’s talk about it
